new headquarter for danva
introduction | project data | images

The new headquarter for Dansk Vand- og Spildevandsteknisk Forening (DANVA) is being built in energy class 1 and through its light and Scandinavian structure it contrasts the surrounding cityscape that appears more heavy and dense.
In this way the new headquarter is designed as an accommodating building that has its own identity and dares to stand out and inside is organised as a quadratic, compact volume around a light giving atrium which functions as the heart of the building.
The energy design and indoor environment have been central in the design process which is being reflected in the strong focus on optimal lightning conditions while comfortable surfaces such as perforated metal plates, lists and sharp details indicate precision and technical capability.
